Confluence Server or Data Center

It is hosted by your confluence instance, so it's as secure as your Confluence.

The only interaction with the user's browser happens when tracking View Issue events in web UI. It sends data to Jira via an official App Link. All operations are done within the already established user's session, not anonymously.
