Logs we might need

  • Browser Console log
    Get Browser Console log:

    Options (3 vertical dots on the upper right corner), More tools > Developer Tools, Console > Cog/gear icon top right corner >  Preserve log and Enable Log XMLHttpRequests, reproduce the issue, right-click on the output window > Click on "Save as", save the file

    Menu Options (3 Horizontal Lines on upper right corner),  Web Developer > Web Console,  Console tab, reproduce the issue, right-click on the output window > Click on "Select all", right-click on the output window > Click on "Copy message", paste the log into a text file

    Press F12  or go to the  Tools  menu and select  “F12 Developer Tools”, go to Console tab, reproduce the issue, right-click on the Console tab screen > select "Copy all", paste the log into a text file

  • HAR file
    Generate a HAR File from the affected page

  • Application logs (On Server/Data Center only)
    Follow the steps in Configuring Logging for Confluence

    • Choose the cog icon  , then choose General Configuration
    • Select 'Logging and Profiling' in the 'Administration' section of the left-hand panel.
    • Use Add New Entry and set the logging level for org.techtime package to DEBUG

  • Reproduce the problem.

  • Create Support Zip via Confluence's Support and Troubleshooting tool 

    • Download the log file atlassian-confluence.log. Ignore the "rotated" log files with number of date suffixes e.g. "atlassian-jira.log.1"

Once you have sent the files, remove the org.techtime package from Logging and Profiling. This configuration will also be removed when you restart the application.
