Question

I am pressing Test Connection in EasySSO NTLM Authenticator and getting this message.

Why is this showing up and how can I fix this?

Error testing account abcd$

jespa.security.SecurityProviderException: NETLOGON failure

Caused by:

jespa.util.NtException: Access is denied.

Answer

The computer account you've specified in the configuration exists on the Domain Controllers that EasySSO is attempting to connect with, but the password you've specified is incorrect.

Please see HOW TO CONFIGURE EASYSSO WITH NTLM/KERBEROS  step 8 on how to set the computer account password.

Answer

If you are using Jespa 2.0.0 or later, ensure the Active Directory domain functional level is at least Windows Server 2008 R2.
