As rare as IT conferences are in New Zealand, and Wellington in particular, TechTime jumped at the chance to attend ITx 2016 between the 11th-13th of July;

  • ITx is a collaboration of twelve tech-focused conferences and bodies and as with previous years, will attract the absolute best innovators, leaders and experts in our sector.

  • ITx is where New Zealand’s digital technology sector comes together. Running at the TSB Bank Arena complex, right in the heart of Wellington, this conference will attract delegates from right across New Zealand and in some cases, the world.

  • ITx focuses on innovation, technology and education and brings IT professionals, decision-makers, leaders and academics together under one roof. This is a conference like no other: where industry, academia and government come together to network, learn and engage.

 As Silver Sponsors for this event we got exclusive access to various benefits: attending 'sponsor-only' events, opportunities to attend Keynote Speakers, Networking events, but most importantly a trade stand to engage with over 800 participants to the conference itself.

The ITx provided us with a great opportunity to engage with businesses and reps from various companies around New Zealand and Australia, as well as listen to over 150 talks, panels, and presentations, most notably from Edith Yeung; Founding Partner, 500 Startups Mobile Collective (San Francisco, USA), Vinh Giang; Entrepreneur and Magician (Adelaide, Australia), Rachael Cotton-Bronte; Chief Marketing Technologist, Flint-Box, and Ian Taylor; Founder, Animation Research Ltd.

Most importantly we gained some great insights into how people use and want to use Atlassian products. Now we just need to get the ball rolling on creating the right plug-ins and solutions.

The ITx conference provided us with great leads and a chance to catch up with customers that we are already enthusiastically engaging with. We are looking forward to attending the Atlassian Summit 2016 in San Jose, California in October! More information about the Summit can be found here: https://summit.atlassian.com

We are secretly hoping the American cuisine will be as good as what we experienced at ITx! Great crew. Great Food. A deserving shout out to the Wellington team from Restaurant Associates. Check them out at www.restaurantassociates.co.nz
