Theme supports "date" meta-tag and required EasySEO version 0.1.35
The theme is available via Confluence Plugin Repository. Alternatively grab the jar referenced above and install manually via Administration Console/Plugins.
The theme requires the following extensions to be installed (all available from Plugin Repository):
Make sure that build-in html marcos in Confluence HTML Macros extension is disabled.
After you have installed the extension you can apply it to any space including the personal one.
For the normal space upload the space logo via Space Admin/Change Space Logo. 800px wide is recommended to be in line with the rest of the theme. For the personal spaces attach a file called "logo.png" or "logo.jpg" to the home page of the space.
If you are changing Confluence language you may need to disable and re-enable the plugin
Blog Theme Configuration
The whole right column can be replaced by creating a page called "Side Panel". If found in the space, the theme will include this page in the right column in full.
Each of the right column parts can be replaced by creating a page called "Side Panel Part One","Side Panel Part Two"... "Side Panel Part Nine" Please note: The number is entered as word not as a digit.
Additionally the content of the About and Featured Articles area can be replaced by pages called "About" and "Featured Articles" either in full or if these pages have been marked up with excerpt macro - as excerpts.
Also, if a page called "Footer" is present it's contents will be included at the bottom of the rendered page for all users (if something has to be shown to anonymous users differently than what is shown to authenticated ones this has to be taken care within the page content via Confluence macros).
The theme supports German and French localization so the names of the pages are localized.

The theme relies on build-in macros to render default content.
For example, many people disable those related to popular content. Don't get alerted if you get a warning about it (in an ugly red blob).
Simply create the page "Side Panel Part Six" to replace it with whatever content you may want (or enable the macros).
The Theme is morphing according to user's permissions
It supports distinctly:
those with page create rights
those with news create rights
space admins and global admins
Consider having special groups to denote those who can create content, those who can administer the space and regular users.
By default the theme intercepts access to the home page and redirects to news. If not desired - disable theme component "Home Page Path Converter" in Administration Console/Plugins.
The background color of the right-side theme element Page Options is configurable via "Page Menu Selected Background" in Space Color Scheme.
The foreground color of the user navigation elements overlaid over logo is configurable via "Top Bar Menu Item Text" in Space Color Scheme.
Featured Articles page serves as a parent to the featured articles, intended as snippets/reviews of 3rd party content or original content.
By default the theme provides a link to create a new child page with the name Featured Article N, where N is the current number of Featured Articles' child pages + 1.
Integration with TechTime EasySEO and CSS Switcher plugins
If EasySEO plugin is deployed the title of the page is composed of the space description and page name. Meta keywords are rendered from labels of the current page and meta information is rendered as an excerpt of the current page.
Integration with CSS Switch allows one to add "skins" to their blog as well as change appearance significantly from the default "narrow" view. This can be done by attaching a CSS file to the home page of the space with no comment specified. See the attached persistent.css for an example how to make your theme 980px wide.
These are known issues to be fixed in future versions:
Anonymous user can still edit pages, blogposts and attachments if one enters the URL directly
Anonymous add page and add news modes look ugly
Breadcrumbs for posts with long titles look ugly
Impossible to add Labels to a blogpost without going into an edit mode
