In the course of one of our integration projects in scope of our Service Stream I've uncovered an apparently undocumented feature of IBM Tivoli Netcool policy language IPL.

While assisting the customer in the Web Services integration scenario we've encountered a need to send a value defined in WSDL as an enumerated type.

  <enumeration value='OPTION_LOW'/>

You wouldn't believe it but neither IBM's sites nor Google find anything on how to actually do this in IPL.

Well here is an answer, courtesy of IBM's support containing a reference to an undocumented Web Services DSA WSNewEnum function:

Priority = WSNewEnum("WSChoice_Priority", "OPTION_LOW");
