Understanding the User Insights Pie Chart

The User Insights Pie Chart Report is designed to identify users who are active but have not been using Atlassian Cloud.

This means that you can install User Management into a Jira or Confluence Cloud instance and immediately see when users last used Atlassian Cloud. If you decide you want to deactivate users, you can run a Bulk Action to perform tasks on that set of users in the chart.

For our reports to function we require a managed organisation source to be set up. Follow Jira Cloud Getting Started or Confluence Cloud Getting Started to add a source.

Here is what the report looks like when opening it for the first time on Cloud with a source already added:

What does it mean?

  1. Source: If you have multiple Managed Organisation sources on your instance you can select which organisation you want to see the activity for.
  2. Pie Chart:  Shows a visual presentation of the legend and allows clicking of a segment to perform a Bulk Action on those users.
  3. Legend: Also a clickable to perform a Bulk Action on users in that segment.

The User Insights chart is currently only for Managed Users in Atlassian Cloud. The chart also shows both billable and non-billable users for the organisation.
