EasySync Installation:
EasySync can be installed into your instance by a site admin from the Atlassian Marketplace here
EasySync Configuration:
You must be logged in as a site admin to be able to access the EasySync configuration page.
You can find the configuration page via the Apps Dropdown > EasySync
For EasySync to start working, you must configure a rule which specifies the fields and issues you would like EasySync to work on.
To add your first rule, click "Add Rule".
Specify the field you would like to sync
EasySync currently supports the following fields: "Team", "Labels", "CustomField Labels" & "Tempo Account". Let us know if you have a use case for some other field.
Each rule must contain at least one field. The field used by a rule must be unique to a single rule - For example the "Team" field cannot appear in two rules. See "Specify a stop condition" below for how to setup a complex hierarchy.
Choose the projects to activate
Select project categories or projects which you would like to activate EasySync in. When selecting project categories, it may be desirable to exclude certain projects of that category.
(Optional) Specify a stop condition
A stop condition allows you to define a condition where the propagation will stop. You can use this for certain types of issues that should not inherit the field from their parent.
Enter a JQL expression which matches any issues which should not have the value propagated. Any issues that match this JQL will automatically have the field value set to their parents value.
A stop condition allows you to create more complex scenarios, such as when you would like some child and all of its descendants to have a different field value than its' parents value. You can achieve this by adding a checkbox field like "Top level" and adding a stop condition like "Top level" = Yes
