It is best if a Tempo Administrator who can view all work logs in your organisation performs this integration - EasyTime can only see what the authorizing user can see

Information:

In Jira Cloud, Tempo work log data is stored within Tempo's app, rather than within Jira itself. EasyTime uses this data to detect clashing work logs or extend manual work logs. To do this, we must set up an "Oauth 2.0 integration" within the Tempo Timesheets App.

Configuration:

  • Ensure both Tempo Timesheets and EasyTime are installed and licensed
  • EasyTime must be version 4.0.0-AC or newer to integrate with Tempo Timesheets
  • Navigate to EasyTime's configuration page
  • Navigate to the "Tempo Timesheets" tab

  • Copy the "redirect uri" by pressing the "Copy Redirect Uri to Clipboard" button

  • Click the link to: Tempo Oauth Integrations to be navigated directly to the Tempo Oauth Integrations set up page

  • Paste the value into the "Redirect URIs" field
  • For the name field, enter: "EasyTime"
  • For the client type, select "Public"
  • For the Authorization grant type, select "Authorization Code"

  • Press the "Add" button to save the values
  • Press the "i" button to show the "Client Key" and "Client Secret" values

  • Press the copy to clipboard button for "Client Key" and paste the value into EasyTime's "Client Key" field
  • Press the copy to clipboard button for "Client Secret" and paste the value into EasyTime's "Client Secret" field

  • Press the "Authorize" button to start the authorization flow

  • Press "Authorize Access"
  • Press "Onwards"
  • You should be redirected to the EasyTime configuration screen. You can verify the integration was successful by navigating back to the Tempo Timesheets Tab

How do we change the authorization user?

Once Tempo Integration has been configured above, pressing "Revoke Token" will cause the old token and secret to be deleted, and you can re-authorize via the same process as above, this time with a different user.
