The Story of EasyTime
As a small company, our support team were handling requests that weren't being recorded. Engineers switch tasks often, leading to lost time and inaccurate billing reports. To solve this, we created EasyTime as humans struggle with keeping realistic timesheets. Be lazy the machine does it better!
What does EasyTime do?
The idea for EasyTime was simple. Instead of recording the time after the fact, desperately trying to remember where did the time go, getting creative or making assumptions based on your calendar or workflow transitions - why not react to real-time events and record time instantly?
Our first version only recorded time when the user would view the issue, but we soon added distinct work log messages on comment and on resolving the issue, and introduced automatic features to resolve conflicts, perform merging and recognise the relative priority of events.
And as we use Tempo Timesheets, we also made our automatic work logs more visible in Tempo screens, to simplify the review and correction of information if required.
EasyTime is an app for Jira, that records time instantly when tracked events occur, automatically aligning and merging resulting work logs and making it easier to visually review your day.
