Answer: 

Yes, on confluence server and data center we now track continuously when you are sitting on a confluence page. This is similar to how tracking works for Jira issues. We will now capture more accurate work logs for all of those times you are working in confluence, whether you are editing or viewing a page and as you switch back and forth between tabs and applications. 

On cloud EasyTime for Confluence only records time when a view event is reported (including refreshing the page) and on comment events.

Time will only be recorded in Confluence if there is a reference to a Jira issue key on the page or up the comment thread.
