A mob of enthusiastic Atlassian users descended upon BizDojo in Wellington on the 9th of May to get their Atlassian geek on.  These eager and brilliant minds were greeted with beverages, food and the opportunity to discuss all things Atlassian. For some, it was their first meetup, for others their second or third.

The event was sponsored and hosted by TechTime.  Having sponsored successful AUGs in the past, TechTime (Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner) relished the chance to network and answer questions throughout the evening.

The meeting kicked off with the talented Irina Mosina (CEO TechTime) welcoming everyone and setting the agenda.  She introduced Jamie Lowe from Tertiary Education Commission as the new Lead for the AUG. Unfortunately Jamie was unable to attend the event.  He looks forward to introducing himself in person at the next meetup.

Irina updated the group on the latest training courses from Atlassian: Jira Project Administrator and Portfolio for Jira.

The floor was handed over to the keynote speaker, Mark Drysdale, CTO Flux Federation. He spoke about his experience moving from a waterfall approach to an agile approach using Atlassian tools across two vastly different organisations - Westpac and Flux Federation.  He referred to real world scenarios and related the subject matter to his experience both here and abroad.  A Q&A session followed and Mark happily answered questions.  People seized the opportunity to speak one-on-one with Mark.

The evening drew to a close and everyone left with happy bellies and happy minds.

We look forward to the next meetup.  Details will be released once finalised.

Chow for now and see you at the next meetup.  https://www.meetup.com/Wlg-AUG/
