How to make EasyPage look and match its purpose

When one sees "Decision" or "How-to article" or "Meeting notes" blueprint items in the Confluence Create Dialog it is pretty clear what these blueprints are for and what they create. How about EasyPage? What exactly are "easypages" that it presumably creates?

Now this problem of galactic proportions is solved.

Starting from release 1.1.8.1 it is possible to customize how EasyPage Blueprint appears in the Confluence Create Dialog

<< the old drab look

the new shiny look >>

It is now possible to specify the icon that will appear in the Create Dialog as well as label and description text. The styled "L" icon, "Livewire Post" and "New community space post" in the image below are just that - customised icon, label and description.

This allows you to style the blueprint item to match your space style or rather match the look to the exact purpose of EasyPage within this space i.e. match the type of pages EasyPage Blueprint is supposed to create in this space.

The following parameters should be entered in the EasyPage configuration dialog.

In the default space theme (a.k.a. the Global Look & Feel) the configuration is located in Integrations section: click Space Tools at the bottom-left/Integrations/EasyPage.

In the Documentation theme the configuration can be found via top menu Browse/Space Admin/Add-Ons/EasyPage

The parameters are entered in the form of java.util.Properties. Sounds geeky but provides you with the ultimate flexibility and configurability at a low cost.

# You can overwrite the "EasyPage" name now in the Create wizard
wizard.blueprint.name=Livewire Post

# You can overwrite the default "EasyPage" description now in the Create wizard
wizard.blueprint.desc=New community space post

# You can overwrite the default "EasyPage" icon now in the Create wizard
wizard.blueprint.icon=/confluence/download/attachments/2097180/livewire-icon.png

Please note: The icon URL is the absolute path to an image on the same host as your Confluence instance. We usually just attach the image to the home page of the space, right click on the link in the View Attachments dialog and then remove the host part from the URL.
